This little piggy went to market

Today when I was laying in my bed, bleary-eyed and tired, talking to Matt the call dropped. I didn't think anything of it at first, the calls drop all the time! I only got curious when I tried to call back and saw that my internet was no longer connected. Then after trying to reconnect multiple times on my phone and iPad I figured that the internet went down [I was right].
So I pulled myself out of bed and got ready for the day. I figured I would head in to work 15-20 minutes early and get a nice head-start on the day, but when I got to work I saw that the internet there was down too! I'm not the type of person to be dependent upon the internet, but in my line of work it makes it very difficult when you can't get online!
I fiddled around and did what work I could but by the time I had been in the office for 30 minutes I was already done with what I could do for the day, so I've had an internet-imposed lazy day.
On this lazy day I decided that since fall was rolling it (a cool, dusty 81 degrees) I would use my free time to take a mile long stroll to the PX. I rarely ever make it down there because what they offer simply isn't worth the burning throat and dusty nose from walking around in the dry dust that gets kicked up from the cars passing; however I really had nothing better to do and I wanted to search for one of the fabled vaccums they've been known to carry every now and then!
As I was walking I contemplated buying some food from the bazaar, since the power went out in our dining facility, but when I got there I decided that the cheese-its, muffins and trail mix in my room would be my lunch.

As you can see the PX is very well stocked. Ha. All they had on the shelves were items equally (un)healthy to the ones in my room but twice the price. Then I wandered all 5 aisles and scored a few items that weren't there last time I came out. I was able to grab one of the last containers of clorox wipes; they go so quickly and for some reason aafes only orders more like once a month! Then I worked my way over to the 'home' corner of the PX and grabbed a mini-pillow to cushion the chair in my room (you're limited to one pillow per person because of the limited resources) and that was when I saw it. The holy grail of PX finds. I laid my eyes on a row of shiny, new hand held dirt devil vaccums!
I snatched one up as quickly as I couldn't and didn't bat an eyelash at the price. They were going for $25, but I would have probably paid $50 for one!
No, I am not OCD or a germophobe. I am however a girl with long hair, and that hair likes to fall out and get caught in my carpet. And in my socks. And in my shirts. And between my toes.
All of which make me instantly think of the movie The Grudge, and all I can picture is grudge-hair so naturally it makes me shudder and gag.
With my grand-prize clutched in my hands I slipped in to the back of the aisle long line to check out and that was when I noticed this:

That is an Egypitan soldier, and yes, that is a handful of bras and panties. He was in line with 2 of his buddies and they both had equally large handfuls of women's underwear. Nothing else.
Me being me, the first thing I thought was not appropriate, but then I mentally chastized myself and thought realistically. While it was an entertaining sight I came to the conclusion that these men probably can't find any women's under garments like this at home and they are probably buying them for their wives.
I hope. If not, they might be a group of cross-dressing friends. As long as they're nice and do their job well I don't really care either way!

I'm going to get back to keeping myself busy and trying to work without my usual internet connection. Wish me luck!

I sadly also jumped to the conclusion that they enjoyed the nice soft panties themselves. :p
