10 Weeks

Disclaimer: I wrote this almost a week ago, never got around to taking my ten week picture and posting it, so I'm getting it out now!

Ten weeks. Whew. It's a relief to make it into double digits and an even bigger relief to have a nice check up with my doctor. The baby is about an inch and a half long and it's tiny knees and elbows are forming! It's pretty active, although I don't feel a thing yet.
When we were at the appointment she was nice enough to give us another ultrasound, just to check up on the baby and see its heartbeat, so that's always nice. She also answered a few of our questions and a few of my prayers!
Mainly she wrote me a prescription for Zofran. Hallelujah, Praise The Lord! Seriously, zofran is the best thing EVER! For those of you that haven't had the pleasure of intense morning sickness (I hate you), Zofran cures the quease and she gave me the disolvable tablets so I just stick one under my tongue and 10 minutes later I feel like a normal person again! It really works. Just ask Matt; I went from hardly able to eat anything and wearing a constant grimace to almost back to my normal self! Now if only I would get all of my energy back..!
The doc also told me that since I'm down to 118 (but healthy, active and not anemic) I can eat whatever I please, and I quote, "If you want a grilled cheese for breakfast, you have a grilled cheese. If you want cheerios for dinner, hubby makes his own pork chops!" Amen, sister. I've been on the Zofran for 5 days now, I haven't gained any weight yet but I'm sure it will come eventually. Thankfully I don't NEED to gain weight until 20 weeks, when the weight starts to go to the baby. So she told me not to stress about my weight at all as long as I ate when I felt hungry.
She also told me not to go out and buy new bras yet (oops) but hey, you win some, you lose some.

I have also noted that I feel less fatigued. I wouldn't go as far as saying that my engergy is back  (just walking around the mall wore me out) but I've stayed up after 10 for the past 6 days in a row! Watch out, Austin, we just may rejoin the night life! Just kidding, everything about getting dressed up to stay out late sounds like a horrible idea. I have been able to catch up on laundry and a few chores around the house though. I'm not sure who's more excited about that; me because I hate when my house is messy or Matt, because he was out of clean underwear..

Now that I have Zofran and a bit more engergy I really don't have any visible signs of pregnancy (minus the reappearance of my chest. Hallelujah). The only time I can really tell is when we are out and about. This weekend we went out to our hunt club to pick out our deer blinds and after walking around parts of the property I was so tired that I had to take a break in the car and drink more water. Speaking of water! If I don't have water with me AT ALL TIMES I feel like I'm going to die! I've always drank a lot of water and I drink even more now, but it gets a little ridiculous. I can't drive to or from work without having something to drink along the way and my commute is only 45 minutes! Heaven forbid I forget my water bottle at work (been there, done that), by the time I pull into my drive way I feel like my dog, Winny, after she's done playing fetch! I'm practically panting as I walk straight to the kitchen to get a big glass of unsavory city water.

How far along? 10 weeks. The baby is an inch and a half long, it's kidneys are working and it's knees are forming!

Total weight gain/loss: net gain of -2
Maternity clothes? Mine fit just fine. Although I feel like wearing PJs most days! Too bad I work for a living.
Stretch marks? drinking plenty of water in hopes of avoiding the majority of them.
Sleep: About 8.5-9 hours a night still. I'm definitely ready for the nesting stage.

Best moment this week: Putting that first zofran under my tongue! Or the jimmy johns sandwich I annihilated shortly after..
Miss Anything? Fruity blended drinks. Thanks to my best friend who includes alcohol in EVERY snapchat she sends me.
Movement: The baby does move! I witnessed it on the ultrasound! But I'm still nowhere close to feeling it. Although they say that thinner girls can feel it sooner, so that's something.
Food cravings: just your typical summer cravings- nothing too hot or heavy!
Anything making you queasy or sick: after the zofran? Nope.
Have you started to show yet: only when I'm bloated :( Wyatt seems disappointed that my belly isn't fat yet, poor kid.
Gender: the doctor won't let me schedule the ultrasound until my next appointment. Not happy about that.
Labor Signs: I pray those don't start for 30 weeks!
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to:  Making my next ultrasound appointment!! I'm also considering trying the home gender kit, for fun.
Mood: good. I haven't had any random mood swings yet, so I consider myself fortunate.
Milestones: on the home stretch of the first trimester! So happy.
Upcoming Appointments/Events: another check up in a couple weeks, then gender confirmation!
Weekly Wisdom: drink water! And if you don't feel good, call your doctor! You might have to suck it up, but there's a good chance they have medicine or advice to help. Seriously.
Hopefully the next post will be on time and include a picture or two!
