70% Done: Hello Third Trimester!

Helloooo third trimester!
Somewhere between 6 and 7 months I finally felt like a full-blown pregnant lady. I still don't waddle and I fit into a good portion of my regular clothes (which is wonderful since I can't bring myself to spend over $40 on stretchy mom jeans that I'm only going to wear for another two months). However, I definitely have a very noticeable baby belly, and my son is CONSTANTLY moving around. Seriously, he's so active that sometimes I wonder if the ultrasounds didn't miss a second little baby in there! And you should feel him when Matt starts playing the guitar; he has his own little dance parties.
Aside from that, I had a big pregnant lady moment the other day: I was walking in to the store and as I passed the bathrooms I contemplated going but really didn't have to. Bad move. As I had a full cart and a few things left to pick up the urge to pee hit me like a ton of bricks! I ditched my shopping list and made a beeline for the checkout because the bathroom was inconveniently located outside the shopping area and there was nowhere to leave un-purchased merchandise. I practically sprinted to the bathroom after paying for my things and barely made it. Well played, pregnancy, you almost got me. I knew that I'd have to go more frequently but I didn't realize that it would sneak up on me like it does on a newly potty trained toddler!
This recent issue has made my commutes to and from work interesting, to say the least! Even when I go to the bathroom within 5 minutes of hitting the road I have to pee again before I get home so I get to decide between not drinking any water within an hour of leaving work or doing the potty dance while I sit in traffic.

How far along? 7 months! I'm now officially in my third trimester

Total weight gain/loss: I've gained 13 pounds so far. Lets see how much the scale jumps in the next 10 weeks!

Maternity clothes?  I have gone out and bought a few sweaters and a pair of slacks, like I mentioned in a previous post, but they're really not working for me! For those of you that don't know, maternity sweaters are ruched to allow belly growth but right now they just look baggy and awkward and the slacks are too big too! My best purchases have been regular non-maternity fleece lined leggings and long sweaters because they fit comfortably and look much better than the maternity versions. That being said, I am on the hunt for one good pair of maternity skinny jeans. I'm still able to wear 3-4 pairs of my jeans but none are my skinny jeans because they're too high waisted to be buttoned. I've looked at 4 or 5 different stores but I REFUSE to spend money on some ill-fitting mom jeans that I won't like soooo the search continues.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: The only issue I've had lately with my sleep are crazy dreams! My dreams have definitely been more vivid since becoming pregnant but now they're so vivid, strange and non-stop that I wake up confused or irritated until I can process them and go back to sleep!
Best moment this week: last night we went out for Matt's company Christmas party and had a blast! Although dancing to the band wore me out- I'll definitely count that towards my daily cardio!
Miss Anything? The ability to road trip! Not only do I get put on a travel restriction by my doctor in a few weeks, but I can hardly sit in the car for more than 2-3 hours without needing to get out, stretch and go to the bathroom! I'm so thankful that my husband is as patient and understanding as he is! I'm pretty sure I could ask him to stop once an hour and he wouldn't get irritated with me.
Movement: My doctor went over tracking fetal movement and told me that I should feel him move at least 10 times in any given two hour period. Are you telling me that there are some women out there that only feel their baby move an average of once every twelve minutes?! I would be so nervous if Warren moved that little- ever since he was strong enough to be felt he's moved far more than that! They say to pick a time that your baby is active and count kicks at the same time every day, and on the two times I do it each day I always get 10 separate kicks, jabs etc in two minutes or less! Sometimes I joke with Matt about there actually being a second little one in there helping with all of that movement. Just kidding, that would be awful. I have nothing against twins, my little brothers are twins and one of my friends is currently having twins. That being said, I have not gained nearly enough weight at 28 weeks to be having TWO healthy babies, so lets just get that notion out of our heads! I'm pretty sure that I just have an incredibly energetic baby on the way, which is really no surprise if you know me and Matt! Instant karma, right mom?
Food cravings: Nothing on a regular basis.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Just the amount of pine sol that someone thinks is necessary to clean the bathroom at work. Seriously, I'm getting to the point where I want to find out who it is and explain to them that you only need 1/4C of the pine sol per GALLON of water! I feel like they use it without water and then pour a little more in the corner like an air freshener. Bleh.
Have you started to show yet: This week was the first time a stranger told me that they could see my bump through my uniform! Its funny because now when 90% of people make eye-contact with me, I see their eyes dart down to my belly at least once. I'm just so thankful that none of them have attempted or asked to touch my stomach!
Labor Signs: Still going strong without any braxton hicks or preterm labor signs!
Belly Button in or out? Au revoir belly button! It's hung on longer than I expected but my innie is now on the same plane as my skin and soon will protrude.
Wedding rings on or off? On and fitting the same way it always does. There hasn't been any swelling of my hands or feet so far.
Looking forward to: My baby shower! I've been slowing gathering the decorations and chipping away at the plans and we finally get to celebrate next weekend!
Mood: Great! I mean the last few days my local radio station has been doing a radio-thon for St. Jude's and that's definitely made me choke up in the car but if you can listen to those stories without getting even slightly emotional then you don't have a heart!
Milestones: Our sweet baby is as big as a head of cauliflower, practices blinking, swallowing and breathing and even though he's only 2.5 pounds has around a 95% survival rate if he were to be born now. Now we get to relax and spend the next 10 weeks preparing for him as he gets bigger and stronger.
Upcoming Appointments/Events: On Monday I have another check up, then a couple days later I get the glucose test. My wonderful stupid Army-issued baby book says that even this far along I will only get appointments every 4 weeks, which I think is a load of garbage since at every civilian hospital I know they switch from 4 week appointments to 2 week appointments in the third trimester! I also need to corner my doctor and request a tour of L&D so I know what kind of accommodations I'll be working with.
Weekly Wisdom: Start finishing the nursery and putting together all of baby's furniture/accessories etc. It's close enough that you should have or be getting most of what you need and you'll want to knock it out a piece at a time so that you aren't stressing out about your crib missing a screw at 38 weeks pregnant!
