Until we meet again, Kandahar (hopefully never)

A couple hours ago my boss called me into his office and gave me some great news! A unit left and the one that replaced it doesn't have enough people to support the Air Force like the old unit did. Luckily for me the support they need is what I trained for! Even more lucky for me, that unit that's short a few people is in our brigade, so my friend and I get to move over there and get attached to them! 

Of course I found out today and I'm getting shoved on the next available flight, so I've got a feel hours to repack everything in my room.. But there is absolutely no way everything will fit.. I already packed my clothes, they took up my whole rolly bag and this is what I'm left with.. 

All of that is supposed to fit in my big backpack. Ha

I think I'm going to have to send a box home of the books I've already read, and buy a duffelbag here so that I can move it all! But even if I get the sheets, blanket and stuff on the bed to fit, I'm sad to say that I'm going to have to part ways with my white drawers, carpet and garbage can :( 

They say that we're going to the "nice side" of the new post, so that's good and knowing the Air Force, we'll have great work hours and work conditions, so I'm ultimately excited for this move, even if I have to leave a few things here. 

Once I get all of this stuff packed I have to clear housing here, and turn in my laundry bag and meal card. Then I get to hop on a flight and spend the rest of the deployment with the Air Force and do my job!!!
