Upgraded From 'It' To 'He'

Wyatt and Alexis have been telling everyone about the baby brother they're going to have ☺️
Although if we would have taken a picture more accurate to first impressions, wyatt would have a big grin and Alexis would be rolling her eyes!
Haha her initial reaction to the announcement was, "Can we make him a girl?"
Sorry sweetheart, looks like you'll be playing more football than dress up until another little girl comes along!
It didn't take too long for her to come around though. By the time we took the picture she asked me if she could carry the baby's onsie around and play with it.

Thankfully, the kids being excited isn't the only good thing going on these days. I've finally gotten my full energy back and lost almost all of my queasiness! I've also added an Ensure to my daily diet to help give my calories and nutrition a boost and it's definitely helping. I'm back to pre-pregnancy weight! Every little pound has gone straight to my growing belly, which is reassuring.
Now that we know his gender and have his name picked out, I get to focus on prepping for the baby shower and crafting for his room! I have high hopes for the next couple of months.

How far along? 17 weeks.

Total weight gain/loss: Net gain: 1 pound :)
Maternity clothes? No but I do unbutton my pants from time to time to give my belly a little extra room!
Stretch marks? Not yet and if stretch marks are as hereditary as they say, I might be able to avoid them.
Sleep: happens on most days. Except when little ones wake up with tummy aches or the puppy decides to bark at her shadow.
Best moment this week: taking the kids to the fair! They had a blast and all the walking was good exercise for me (we logged like 5 miles, mostly thanks to the trek from the parking lot). The elephant ear wasn't as good for the body but it worked wonders on morale!
Miss Anything? Going on rides :( the kids asked me to do the teacups with them and it was hard to say no.
Movement: tiny little movements. However, instead of feeling magical they mostly make me feel queasy! On top of that the baby is still too small for anyone else to really feel it. Alexis likes to put her head on my tummy and when she doesn't hear/feel anything she knocks and says, "I don't think he's in there..."
Food cravings: still no crazy cravings or huge appetite.
Anything making you queasy or sick: not as much as before.
Have you started to show yet:
Can you see it?! Haha maybe not the best picture to show it off.. There is a bump though, I promise!
Gender: A boy! We're all so excited about it!  Granna and Alexis were hoping for a girl, but they came around.
Labor Signs: Goodness, no!
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: I've got a baby shower coming up that I'm pretty excited for! I also think I'm going to dress the baby bump up for Halloween, so that should be fun.
Mood: Happy
Milestones: His little ears can hear our voices now, and his eyes register light!
Upcoming Appointments/Events: I've got another ultrasound this week, so we'll get a few more snapshots of the little guy.
Weekly Wisdom: the second trimester really is better. Oh and seeing your baby moving on ultrasound and feeling him is much cooler than just seeing him and hearing his heartbeat.
Hopefully next time I'll get back to the standard chalkboard belly photo. Don't hold your breath though.
