See? Not cute.
The next thing I wish I had is a chair. Or a stool. Hey, I would settle for anything 2-3 feet high and sturdy enough for my rear end! Its not that it's impossible to put my boots on and take them off standing up, I would just like the option to sit down occasionally. I would also like to use the cleared off space on my make-shift dresser to sit and write, or type. Doing everything in my bed makes for a messy bed :/
Which reminds me, I really could use another set of soft twin sized sheets (hint, hint!)!
The last thing I'm going to whine about is basic organizational tools!! Yes, I'm sure by now you've caught the trend and figured me out; I am an organizational fiend. So it just doesn't cut it to have my goods scattered about like this!
I mean, look at my pens for pete's sake!
Yes, that is a water bottle that I cut in half so I could store my pens in it! I am also using a mint container to hold my hair ties, and I'm working on finishing some cashews so that I can store something else in it. I haven't decided if it will be for my crystal light packets or for my hygiene items like tweezers, cuticle cutters, files etc.
You now see the dilemmas faced by a compulsive-organizer, so I'll move on to my title-thought.
This being the longest I've been in one place, it gave me the time necessary to settle and now the boredom and monotony have set in. Wake up, talk to my love, get ready and go to work. Then comes 12 hours of work with a few meals thrown in followed by going home, talking to my love and getting things ready for the next day. Every day.
The food is the same 6 meals rotated throughout the DFAC. The company is, albeit nice, the same personalities every. single. day. And I finished the book series that I was working on! So I've really been combatting boredom and potential insanity the last week or so.
So please, if anyone has any suggestions on ways to pass the time (without taking up much space) LET ME KNOW!!! I am beginning a new book tonight, and I am going to be begging home to send me some of my crochet needles and yarn but I really feel like I need another 3-4 things to rotate between so that Afghanistan doesn't slowly steal my mind.
When you look forward to Sunday because painting your nails a different color is all the variety you have, it's a pretty good indicator that you need an intervention.
So please, intervene! :)
